Obituary for Brian L. Schork Sr.

Brian L. Schork, Sr., 59, of N. Huntingdon, died Thursday, October 11, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born June 9, 1959, in Greensburg, a son of Patricia Rayburn Schork, of Saltsburg, and the late Mack Schork. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers: Gary Schork and John Schork, and a nephew, Joseph Schork. Brian was a member of St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. He worked for 42 years in the construction business, primarily plastering. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Brian L. (Melissa) Schork, Jr., of Herminie; and two daughters: Jaclyn (Darren) Jones, of Mt. Pleasant, and Shannon Schork, of N. Huntingdon; a granddaughter, Bailee Schork; a brother, Michael (Janet) Schork, of W. Newton; Erin Schork, of N. Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his canine companions: Bo, Maci, and Mauser. When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little; but, not too long; and, not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared. Miss me; but, let me go. For this journey we all must take; and, each must go alone. It’s all part of the Master’s plan, a step on the road home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in good deeds. Miss me; but, let me go. Service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or ASPCA. The family wishes to thank the staff at Excela Hospice Care.
