Obituary for Norman E. "Gene" Gower

Norman E. “Gene” Gower, 87, of Greensburg, formerly of Luxor, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was born April 11, 1931, a son of the late Thomas R. and Morna Learn Gower. Prior to retirement, Gene was a master mould maker for Overmeyer Mould Company. He had a love for bluegrass music, was an accomplished mandolin player, and was a craftsman. Gene was a proud member of the National Honor Society. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He had a passion for hockey and model trains. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Jacqueline Ulery Gower. He is survived by his children: Valerie Milliron (Les), Norman “Kip” Gower (the late Elaine), Timothy Gower (Brenda Forsey), Eric Gower (Samantha) and Michael Gower (Anna); his step-children Kimberly Eckenrode (Bill), Jaye Redding, Paula Greece (David), Vanessa Delynko (John Lewis), and Jill Giannone (John). Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and his beloved dog, Maggie.
