Obituary for Loretta Jane Halahurich (Hague)

Loretta Jane Halahurich (Hague)
Loretta Jane Halahurich, 84, of Youngwood, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 27, 1934, in Armbrust, to Nellie Adams Hague and Franklin Hague Sr. She was a graduate of the former Sewickley Township High School, and was employed at Overly's and Robertshaw as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Sewickley United Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and deacon. Loretta enjoyed spending time with the Hempfield Garden Club and the Seniors of Youngwood through Christ United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Loretta was predeceased by her husband of nearly 54 years, Alex Halahurich; two brothers, Franklin Jr. and Cloyd Hague; and a sister, Carrena Hague. She is survived by a son, Eric (Kate) Halahurich, of Forest Hills; a daughter, Linnea Glosner, of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, and Samuel Halahurich, and Alexander, Olivia, and Emma Glosner; a sister, Jo-Ann (Edward) Hrtyanski, of West Newton; two sisters-in-law, Dolores Cutia, of Greensburg, and Lillian Halahurich, of Sutersville; and several nieces and nephews. Loretta cherished time with her grandchildren - they were the light of her life. She also shared a special bond with her sister, Jo-Ann, who was her lifelong best friend, and brother-in-law, Edward. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Sewickley United Presbyterian Church, 604 Herminie-West Newton Road, West Newton. Should friends and family desire, donations may be made to the church and sent to the clerk of sessions at 1518 Greensburg Pike, West Newton, PA 15089.
